Financial Disclosure
BoarD & COMMISSION MEMBERS Required to file


Appointed City Officials
Sections 2-813 (b) and 2-814 (b) require two types of board members to file city financial disclosure statements and conflicts of interest disclosure forms:  

  • Members, whether paid or unpaid, of all city boards, committees, councils, commissions, authorities and other similar bodies created by state law, Charter, ordinance or resolution.  All members are required to file, no matter who appoints or elects them.
  • Members appointed by the mayor and/or council or council president to other public boards, committees, councils, commissions, [and] authorities of the city, county, or state. Only board members appointed by the Mayor or City Council are required to file.

All members of the following city boards are required to file because they serve on a city board created by state or city law:

  • Atlanta Commission on Women
  • Atlanta Development Authority
  • Atlanta Pension Fund Board of Trustees—
    • General Fund

  • Atlanta Planning Advisory Board (delegates may be elected)
  • Atlanta Public Safety and Judicial Facilities Authority 
  • Atlanta Workforce Development Agency Board
  • Audit Committee
  • Beltline TAD Advisory Committee
  • Beltline Affordable Housing Advisory Board 
  • Board of Ethics
  • Board of Zoning Adjustment
  • Citizen Review Board
  • Civil Service Board
  • Commission on Aging (dormant)
  • Eastside TAD Neighborhood Advisory Board
  • Elected Officials Compensation Board (dormant)
  • Human Relations Board
  • Judicial Commission
  • Keep Atlanta Beautiful Board

NPU Officers
The Code also requires neighborhood planning unit officers to file.  For purposes of the financial disclosure filing requirement, the Board of Ethics has interpreted "NPU officer" to mean the NPU chair and vice chair.
