2009 Campaign Contribution Disclosure Reports. The Office of Municipal Clerk has posted campaign finance reports filed in 2009 by candidates for Mayor, Council President, City Council, and the Atlanta School Board. Under state law, the municipal clerk's office is the official filing office for these reports. To review earlier reports filed by candidates running for municipal office, contact municipalclerk@atlantaga.gov or call 404.330.6500.
Campaign MoneyWatch. Common Cause of Georgia provides online data about campaign contributions given to each candidate running for municipal office in 2009. The Campaign MoneyWatch lists the candidate's name, office seeking, total amount raised, donor's name, amount of contribution, date contribution received, election cycle, and the donor's affiliation. State Personal Financial Disclosure Statements
There are two types of financial disclosure statements: state and city. Under state law, candidates running for city office must file a Personal Financial Disclosure Statement with the Office of Municipal Clerk. City Financial Disclosure Statements
Elected city officials must file an annual city financial disclosure statement every year that they serve and the year after they leave city service. Candidates are not required to file this statement. All statements filed since 2005 are available in the Electronic Filing System (2005-2008) or the Electronic Disclosure System (2009).
