Office of budget and fiscal policy
To develop budgetary and fiscal recommendations for all city agencies, optimizing all available resources toward sound public policy goals and the accomplishment of departmental objectives.
- Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of policies and programs.
- Guide the planning, development, and implementation of the city’s budget, including general, enterprise, and fiduciary funds.
- Evaluate applications for and facilitate allocation of community and economic development funding provided through the city by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
- Utilize historical research to plot and predict trends in data of various categories in an ongoing effort to maximize resources and improve effectiveness.
- Discover and research best practices to improve productivity and performance.
- Develop recommendations to optimize revenue.
