Opportunity: The City of Atlanta Department of Law plans to host three to five summer interns for nine (9) weeks during the summer 2009. Applicants must be rising 2Ls, rising 3Ls or recent graduates of an ABA-accredited law school in the United States. Interns may be exposed to the variety of work produced by the one of the four legal practice groups within the Department of Law (Aviation, Commercial Transactions, Government Counsel, and Litigation) as it carries out its duties as the City of Atlanta's municipal corporation counsel. Selected students may provide legal support to the Department of Law attorneys, including research, substantive writing and legal analysis.
Dates: 9 weeks, June 1, 2009 – July 30, 2009
Requirements: Enrollment in or J.D. from ABA accredited law school in the United States of America.
