FACT SHEET

Who:

The City’s highest priority is to assist individuals who are disabled and/ have attained sixty-two (62) years of age or older.   The individuals must reside in and own the property within the  appropriate target areas to qualify for assistance. 

What:

The City of Atlanta’s Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Program is designed to assist low- moderate income individuals, who need repairs to  their home.

Why: To maintain our City’s communities and neighborhoods by providing safe and sanitary housing for the elderly and/ disabled with the repairs that they would not be able to do themselves, thus alleviating the pressures of having them to move and preventing regentrification.
When: Call our office for more information at 404.330.6390.
How: By providing commitment and service to our constituents every step of the way before, during and after the rehabilitation process. Rehabilitation work is limited to City of Atlanta Housing Code violations and improvements to failing mechanical systems (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural).
