East Atlanta Village Streetscape, Phase 1 Completed September 2005
The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works is continuing with implementation of city wide community improvement projects as part of the $150M Quality of Life Bond Program!
Late February 2005, we began Phase I of streetscape improvements along Flatshoals Avenue from Metropolitan Avenue to Stokeswood Avenue. The project was completed in September 2005 and included the replacement of sidewalks and curbs, the installation of painted crosswalks, street lights, trees and specialty paving.
Construction of Phase II will include the replacement of sidewalks and curbs, the installation of painted crosswalks, street lights, trees, and specialty paving along Flat Shoals Avenue from Moreland Avenue to Metropolitan Avenue; Glenwood Avenue, from Brownwood Avenue to Flat Shoals Avenue; and Joseph Avenue, from Glenwood Avenue to Portland Avenue.
