MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL & PLUMBING (MEP) APPROVALS
No Building Permits will be issued until all required Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing plans have been approved..
AIRPORT PROJECTS PLEASE BE ADVISED:
All City of Atlanta Airport Projects require a Department of Aviation stamp
All City of Atlanta Airport projects require a Department of Aviation stamp from the Airport prior to submittal. The Department of Aviation stamp is not the approval to start construction; The Department of Aviation approval is required to submit your plans to the Office of Buildings. Building Permits will not be issued without all (City of Atlanta) MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, and PLUMBING approved drawings.

Pursuant to Ordinance #11-0-1290
Beginning Feb. 11, 2013 a minimum $100 fee will be assessed to all requests for verification of zoning letters. This fee must be paid at the time of the submittal of the zoning verification letter request to the Zoning Enforcement Division.
Beginning Oct. 1, 2012 a minimum of $50 fee will be assessed to all business license applications that require a zoning review. This fee must be paid at the time of submittal of the business license application to the Zoning Enforcement Division. For further details, contact the Zoning Enforcement Division at 404-330-6175.

IMPACT FEE WAIVERS
In accordance with Section 19-016 (e) of the City of Atlanta, Georgia Development Impact Fees Ordinance, the Department of Finance and Administration has issued a determination that funding for FY 2009 and FY 2010 Impact Fee Waivers is no longer available. The issuance of Impact Fee Waivers has been suspended until further notice.
Application Intake: Commercial and Residential permit applications are accepted Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Online Permit Applications: Online applications will be processed during Normal Business Hours 8:15 am–5:00 pm.
The Office of Buildings enforces the Codes adopted by the City of Atlanta to ensure minimum standards for the construction, repair, demolition, occupancy and maintenance of buildings, structures and properties.
We review, approve and issue all permits required by the City's Codes for the repair, alteration or addition to all public and private buildings and structures; as well as, permits for new construction. We assist property owners in their effort to ensure that buildings are in compliance with the standards set forth in the City's Codes.
