Mayor Kasim Reed Welcomes IBM Smarter Cities Team to Atlanta

On Wednesday, Mayor Reed and Invest Atlanta officials will welcome a senior team of IBM professionals to Atlanta as they kick off a three week long visit as part of IBM’s Smarter Cities Challenge grant.
The five member team of experts will help support Invest Atlanta as they begin to craft a new economic development strategy for the city with a specific focus on job creation and global competitiveness. Invest Atlanta, the city’s economic development agency, applied on behalf of the City of Atlanta and was awarded the grant in March.
