Mayor Kasim Reed to Celebrate the Grand Opening of Delta Flight Museum’s “747 Experience” Exhibit

Mayor Kasim Reed will join Governor Nathan Deal, Delta Air Lines President Glen Hauenstein, Delta Flight Museum Chairman and President John Boatright and Boeing Commercial Airplanes Vice President of Marketing Randy Tinseth for the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of the “747 Experience,” an active exhibit highlighting the history of Ship 6301 and the 747 aircraft.
Ship 6301 is the first-built 747-400 in Delta Air Lines’ aircraft fleet, built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The aircraft first flew in 1988, and has logged more than 61 million miles. Ship 6301 flew its final flight on September 9, 2015, Flight 836, from Honolulu to Atlanta.
