City of Atlanta to Launch Power to Change Campaign

WHAT:

News Conference to launch the City of Atlanta Power to Change Campaign. 

Mayor Franklin will host a rally to gather energy and support for the Power to Change Campaign.  The Power to Change campaign aims to engage all city employees about their role in making our city more sustainable. The campaign is focused on individual actions we can all take such as water and energy conservation, reducing our solid waste, reducing emissions, and improving the rates of recycling.

During the rally, the Microsoft Corporation will present a financial gift to The City of Atlanta to support the City’s sustainability initiatives.

There will also be an environmental education fair to educate, engage, and excite city employees about opportunities to “go green” in their jobs and at home.
