ATLANTA, GA (March 19,2008 8:20 p.m.): After consultation with Atlanta Fire-Rescue and observing glass falling from buildings and shattering far beyond the footprint of the building – in some cases blocks away – the following street closures will remain in place throughout the night and through rush hour Thursday morning.
Peachtree Street from Harris to Auburn Avenue
Spring Street from Marietta Street to Harris Street
International Boulevard from Peachtree Center to Williams Street
Please keep these closures in mind when planning commute routes and travel times Thursday morning. Police remind all pedestrians and motorists to obey officers, barricades and fire/police lines. Atlanta Police apologize for the continuing inconvenience. Public safety remains the top priority of emergency services personnel in the City of Atlanta.
