Considering the current drought in Georgia there have been several inquiries into the Mayor’s water usage at her home. So in the spirit of transparency she is releasing her water usage and bills for the past six months.
Mayor Shirley Franklin has one meter and usage and bills for the past six months are:
|
Month |
ccfs |
Total |
|
April |

$99.31 |
|
May |
11 |
$110.45 |
|
June |
20 |
$210.71 |
|
July |

$88.17 |
|
August |

$92.53 |
|
September |

$84.60 |
Usage in July and August was the same but the difference in cost is due to the rate increase that was reflected on the August bill.
Mayor Franklin added, " Each of us needs to find new ways to save water and take personal responsibility to do more. No matter how much water we use at home now we need to find ways to reduce that consumption. We are all looking to our government to find long-term policy solutions to this critical issue."
