The City of Atlanta Offers “Medicare D” Enrollment Session at Adamsville Recreation Center

The City of Atlanta Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs’ Senior Programs Division

 

WHAT:

All senior citizens are invited to a free Open Enrollment and Information Session for Medicare D, a new Medicare prescription drug program available to all Medicare beneficiaries beginning January 1, 2006

NOTES:

Seniors should bring a list of current medications and dosages and their Medicare identification card.  The work session is presented by Medicare Today, and speakers from AARP and the Social Security Administration will answer questions.  Anyone who currently receives Medicare is eligible for this coverage, regardless of income and resources, health status or current prescription expenses.  Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people age 65 and older and for those with disabilities.
