The City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs Announces Atlanta Artists Relief Program

The City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs would like to engage citizens and businesses in the Atlanta community in an effort to provide assistance to artists affected by the recent tornado.  Many established and emerging artists lost materials, supplies, and works of art during the tornado.  This is an opportunity for everyone to demonstrate their commitment to the arts and cultural community by donating art supplies, paint, brushes, pallets, buckets, turpentine, canvases, stretchers, and other arts supplies during the Atlanta Artists Relief Program.

You may drop off your generous donation Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at City Hall East, Office of Cultural Affairs, 5th floor, 675 Ponce de Leon Avenue.

Artists will receive their supplies on Art Supply Distribution Day, Saturday, April 5th, at 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at City Gallery East located at 675 Ponce de Leon Avenue, 1st floor.

The Office of Cultural Affairs is also donating temporary studio space to effected artists in the East by East Cultural Center located on the 1st floor of City Hall East, 675 Ponce de Leon Avenue.  There are three studios available to qualified artists.  Please email a letter of interest to ARTSCooL@Atlantaga.Gov.
