Wednesday, July 22nd is the 145th anniversary of the Battle of Atlanta and the 116th year of operation for the Atlanta Cyclorama. To commemorate the anniversary on July 18th and 19th, re-enactors from the 54th Massachusetts Infantry, 28th Georgia and 104th Illinois will be at the Cyclorama. Dressed in their prestigious uniforms, members will display equipment and tell stories of this colorful period. Women in period dress will accompany the soldiers. All are historians well versed in Civil War history and at The Atlanta Cyclorama to educate and entertain visitors!
On Sunday, July 19th, in his first appearance since his book, “Slavery by Another Name” was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, Douglas Blackmon will give a free lecture at the Atlanta Cyclorama. Mr. Blackmon’s presentation will begin at 7pm and will include an audience question answer period and tour of Cyclorama. The program is free and open to the public, but there will be limited seating
The Atlanta Cyclorama is now the finest Cyclorama in the world!
