Each year the University of Pennsylvania IUR Urban Leadership Forum honors public servants who have excelled in a particular area of urban leadership. This year the focus is building competitive and sustainable cities and Mayor Shirley Franklin is one of three honorees.
Today, during the Forum, awardees will discuss the future of urban economies and what leadership at all levels – city, state, and federal – needs to do now to build competitive, sustainable cities that will thrive for generations to come.
