WELCOMING ATLANTA and the DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
EVENT DESCRIPTION: The International Soccer Festival, a partnership between Welcoming Atlanta, Office of International Affairs, and the Department of Parks and Recreation is a two-day soccer festival that aims to promote inclusion, diversity, equity and peach through soccer, and highlights Atlanta's international passion for soccer while exposing Atlanta youth with global experiences through sports. The International Soccer Festival will help to solidify Atlanta’s position as a global hub for sports and major sporting events, with eyes on the FIFA World Cup 2026. Day one will include an adult soccer tournament where 16 co-ed teams will compete on the Nations Cup. Day two will include the One Atlanta Tournament, a noncompetitive youth tournament, it will also include soccer clinics, children activities, an international pavilion exhibit made up of Atlanta's diplomatic corps, and a service provider pavilion where participants can connect with city services. Day two will also see the final soccer game of the adult tournament.
