Do you own or operate a private parking lot in the city? Please note that every entrance to a parking lot/deck is required to have a specific sign posted by order of Atlanta City Code. The required sign is new as of 2019 and is required to be posted at every entrance to a privately-owned parking lot in the city by April 1, 2019.

An editable PDF of the sign is available for download. The PDF includes all necessary instructions to help produce a sign that is compliant. Please note that parking lot owners/operators are responsible for seeking out a printing firm and covering all associated costs of printing and posting the sign.

This change comes as part of a larger effort to improve booting and towing experiences intown, following a wave of complaints from residents. The new signs were designed to be more easily understood than the previous version. In addition to being able to clearly view this sign, visitors to a parking lot should be able to plainly read and understand the rules governing a lot, which should also be posted clearly in a parking lot. This should reduce incidences of illegally parked vehicles and limit the number of associated civil disputes that occur.
