The Water and Sewer Appeals Board is an independent board made up of citizens appointed by the Atlanta City Council. The board hears appeals from other citizens regarding their formal dispute decisions determined by Watershed Management. The board meets up to twice a week in a Committee Room at City Hall.
The board will allow the following to all appellants:
- An opportunity to be heard in person and to present witnesses and documentary evidence
- The right to be represented by counsel, although counsel shall not be furnished by the city.
- The right to confront and cross examine employees or agents of the City as to the basis for determining the amount billed.
Notice: The Water and Sewer Appeals Board ONLY hears appeals that have already gone through the formal dispute process. If your case has not been reviewed by Watershed, please click here to file a formal dispute. Appellants are given 7 days to file an appeal from the time they receive the decision letter from Watershed.
