Event Location: 840 Cherokee Ave. SE, Atlanta GA 30315
Purpose of Event: A family friendly 5k run/walk designed to bring awareness to Food Insecurity and help eliminate its effects in our local neighborhoods. Food Insecurity can be explained as the lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life. We have discovered through extensive research that secure access to food can produce wide ranging positive impacts, including: Economic growth and job creation. Details: We will set up at 6:30am on 9/11. The event will start with registration/preparation from 8:00-8:30am. Races begins at 8:30am and will conclude at 10:00am. Breakdown and clean up will be from 10:00-11:00am.
