City of Atlanta to Open Warming Center Ahead of Cold Weather

ATLANTA—The City of Atlanta will open two warming centers ahead of colder temperatures. The centers will open Monday, March 18, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. and remain open through Tuesday, March 19 at 7:00 a.m.

The first warming center will be located at the Central Park Recreation Center at 400 Merritts Ave. NE, Atlanta 30308 and will be open for men only.  

The second warming center will be located at the Selena Butler Recreation Center at 98 Wm Holmes Borders Dr. SE, Atlanta, GA 30312 and will be open for women and children only.

Transportation will be provided by Fulton County from the Gateway Center at 8:00 pm with return transportation upon deactivation.

Activation times are subject to change based on the updated National Weather Service forecast.
