City of Atlanta to Open Cooling Center to Help Residents Combat Heat
ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta will open a cooling center as temperatures rise across the city. The center will open today, Thursday, August 8, 2024, and Friday, August 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily. The cooling center is located at Selena Butler Park and Recreation Center at 98 WM Holmes Borders Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30312.
Water will be provided to residents while in the cooling center.
