Tip Off 2013 NCAA® Division 1 Men’s Basketball Championship

National Bracket Day Event to Take Place inside CNN Center with Massive 40’ x 20’ Bracket Installation

WHAT:

Mayor Kasim Reed will join Turner Broadcasting System Chairman and CEO Phil Kent to tip off March Madness® and the start of the 2013 NCAA® Division 1 Men’s Basketball Championship at a press conference Monday morning. The pair will celebrate this year’s National Bracket Day by revealing their personal tournament brackets in front of the large-scale bracket installation at Atlanta’s CNN Center.

The massive bracket, standing 40 feet wide by 20 feet tall, will be placed inside CNN Center’s atrium throughout the duration of this year’s tournament. It will be populated on Monday morning after teams are announced, and will include live updates throughout each round of games, on-site activations and more.

The CNN Center bracket installation is one of six similar installations across the country participating in National Bracket Day. Other large-scale brackets will also be unveiled Monday in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

The NCAA Men’s Final Four® will take place in Atlanta, April 6-8, 2013.
