The Atlanta Police Department welcomes the Moving Memorial Wall
The Atlanta Police Department welcomes the Georgia Law Enforcement Memorial Wall Tour on Thursday, April 11th at 11:00am in front of Public Safety Headquarters on the Pryor St. side. This 28 foot long ‘Moving Wall’ is pulled by a full size pickup truck and escorted by more than 10 motorcycles. It will feature the names of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in Georgia.
Family members of the three APD police officers killed in the line of duty in 2012 will be present to unveil the names of their loved ones on the wall. Chief George Turner will speak on behalf of the department.
The Fallen Heroes Memorial Tour is sponsored by Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club along with Concerns of Police Survivors to raise awareness for the 22nd Annual Georgia Police Memorial Ride on April 26-27, 2013. This ride is open to everyone. You can ride a motorcycle, car, walk or stand alongside the road showing that you care.
