City Opens Warming Center Due to Frigid Weather

ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta Office of Constituent Services and Department of Parks and Recreation has determined, based on need and continued frigid temperatures, that the Old Adamsville Recreation Center will open tonight, February 13, 2015, and will remain open through the weekend as an emergency overflow shelter for those in need. Capacity limitations at Old Adamsville allows for 100 individuals (men, women and children), to occupy the facility from 6 p.m. – 10 a.m. The shelter will reopen at  6 p.m. every day. The address at Old Adamsville Emergency Shelter is 3404 Delmar Lane, Atlanta, GA 30331. For more information, please contact the Office of Constituent Services 404-330-6023.
