WHAT:

Candace Byrd, chief of staff for the City of Atlanta will join Camille Russell Love from the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs to announce the program lineup for ELEVATE 2015.

Hosted annually in downtown Atlanta, ELEVATE supports citywide cultural growth by exhibiting large-scale public artwork and installations and offering performances, educational opportunities and cultural experiences free to the public.

This year’s curator for ELEVATE 2015 is internationally-renowned visual/performing artist and scholar Fahamu Pecou, whose works combine observations on hip-hop, fine art and popular culture. Pecou’s works have been featured in NBC’s drama "Empire" and ABC’s hit comedy "Black-ish."
