Spring
Spring weather includes severe weather, like tornadoes and heavy rain, and flooding. They also create a breeding ground for mosquitos.
Remember these key things to be prepared this spring:
- Identify a safe location, in case of a tornado
- Never walk or drive through flooded streets; Turn around, don't drown
- Check your insurance policies to ensure that you have enough coverage in case of flooding
- Remove dead or rotting trees and branches that could fall and cause injury or damage during a severe thunderstorm
- Wear insect repellant to prevent mosquito bites and the possibility of contracting a mosquito-transmitted illness
