City of Atlanta Wins Again in Airport Concessions Contract Dispute
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Cynthia Wright today dismissed virtually all claims in a lawsuit filed by losing airport concessions proponent SSP America, Inc. SSP claimed in the lawsuit that the city’s procurement appeals process was unconstitutional, and that the city violated the Georgia Open Records and Open Meetings Acts.

New Employee Benefits Contracts Generate Unprecedented Savings for City of Atlanta

Cultural Experience Project Introduces 3,000 8th Graders to the Fox Theatre
The City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs will hold a press conference to launch its signature program of the Arts in Education division the Cultural Experience Project, for the 2012-2013 school year. Atlanta Launches power2give.org Partnership
Mayor Kasim Reed and the Office of Cultural Affairs launched Atlanta’s power2give.org, an online cultural marketplace designed to connect donors directly with arts projects that need funding. The City of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs will match the funds raised by each organization through power2give.org up to $2500 per project, totaling a possible $5000 raised per project.

Online Cultural Marketplace power2give.org Launches in Atlanta
power2give.org is an online platform that uses crowd-sourced funding to match donors with arts organizations and projects. Arts organizations vetted through the Office of Cultural Affairs’ Contracts for Arts Services program are granted access to the power2give website so they may post arts-related projects in need of funding. The public is encouraged to visit the site and support those projects through donations via the online payment tool.
